Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine is a chronic disease. This definition suggests that, once ill, a person will be forced to constantly remember that he must adhere to certain rules of life in order not to provoke an exacerbation.
The human spine consists of three sections: cervical, thoracic, and lumbar. But it is the cervical region that is the most vulnerable, since it is the least protected, while it is constantly in motion, experiencing colossal loads. And the reality of modern life has contributed to the way of life, which is far from beneficial to spinal health. After all, to be completely honest, we must admit that each year humanity moves less and less. For most of us, work involves eight hours of sitting. So I, preparing this article, am sitting in front of the computer and you, reading it, are also sitting. And so, day by day, we sit in the office, we move in transport, at home all the work is done by the appliances, and we are resting. Of what? "Movement is life" is a familiar phrase. At the same time, we can say with some precision: movement is a healthy spine. Cervical osteochondrosis is getting younger and younger. Today it is not uncommon for a young man in his thirties to complain of neck pain. But pain is not the only symptom of the disease.
Symptoms
First of all, it is the pain that occurs when moving the head, body and arms.
Severe headaches that cannot be relieved even after taking pain relievers.
Along with the headache, vague spots of various colors or flickering "flies" may appear in front of the eyes.
Dizziness is also a common symptom in cervical osteochondrosis.
Chest pain. At the same time, it may seem like a heartache. Here it is important not to confuse the diseases osteochondrosis and angina pectoris. With the latter, the pain of the heart will echo in the left hand. The patient unconsciously has a feeling of fear of death. With osteochondrosis, none of that happens.
Reasons
Surprisingly, doctors admit that today they cannot fully explain all the reasons that lead to the disease. But at the same time, they list the main ones, of which it becomes clear that often a person is guilty of having such an ailment as cervical osteochondrosis.
For reasons beyond our control, we include heredity and age. You need to take note of this and not forget about prevention, if you are at risk, so as not to become a victim of the disease.
The second (rather the first) reason is physical inactivity. Move, move and move! And then you will avoid such a discomfort as cervical osteochondrosis.

Infectious diseases and intoxication of the body.

Traditional treatment
Once an accurate diagnosis has been made, your doctor will prescribe treatment to relieve pain and restore mobility. Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and pain reliever medications are prescribed. Gymnastics
You can do gymnastics on your own without leaving your home or office. All exercises are performed sitting down and repeated five times.
Exercise 1.Stretch your back, throw your head back. Bend your head to the right, trying to touch your shoulder with your ear. Next, try to touch your left shoulder with your ear. Tilt your head gently without straining.
Exercise 2.Stretch your chin forward. Then very slowly turn your head to the left and right.

Exercise 5.Place your hands behind your head and close your fingers. Lean forward as much as possible, then lean back, leaning against the back of the chair.
These simple exercises will help speed your recovery and are an excellent preventative measure if you do not stop exercising after your cervical vertebrae have regained mobility.
Rub
- Rubbing an infusion of wormwood on the cervical spine will help. For infusion, pour a tablespoon of dry wormwood into a thermos and pour three hundred ml of boiling water. After two hours of infusion, strain, cool a little and rub it on the affected area several times a day.
- Lilac tincture is used for many ailments, but most of the time it is recommended for problems with the musculoskeletal system. It should be prepared in the spring, during the lilac's heavy blooming period, and stored until needed. Transfer a hundred grams of freshly harvested lilac brushes to a glass dish and add a liter of forty-degree vodka. Place the jar in a dark cupboard for a week and a half. Strain, pour the tincture into a clean bottle and use it for your daily massage.
- Garlic based rub will relieve osteochondrosis condition. Peel the garlic and fill two hundred grams of peeled clove puree with a bottle of vodka. Insist a week in a dark closet. Shake the tincture every day. Strain to avoid burning when using and rub the sore areas with tincture.
- If you have Indian onions growing on your windowsill, great! Tear off a leaf every night, rinse it, cut and rub the cervical vertebrae with the pulp of the plant. Lie down immediately after the procedure. The pain should subside almost immediately.
- Dissolve a mummy tablet in some water and combine it with a tablespoon of honey. In the evening, shortly before bedtime, massage the mixture into the skin above the cervical vertebrae. Then apply a small amount of honey to the compress cloth and secure it on the back of the neck. Leave it until the morning.
- Prepare a mixture of tincture of iodine and camphor alcohol: ten ml and three hundred ml of medical alcohol. Rub in the healing mixture every night for a week.
Ointments
- For a hop ointment, take a tablespoon of soft butter as a base and crush it with a tablespoon of powdered dry hop cones. Then apply a thin layer on the cervical spine, apply a waterproof material and a wool bandage on top, hold for thirty minutes to an hour

- Prepare an ointment with equal volumes of camphor alcohol, vodka and mustard powder. Separate the whites of three eggs and beat them, add to the prepared mixture and rub well. It is recommended to use the ointment at night, before going to bed. After application to the skin, a warm cloth should be tied around the neck.
- And at the end of the ointment topic, there is one more butter-based product. Peel a medium head of garlic, approximately the same piece of butter, and a ginger root the same size as the garlic. Chop the garlic and ginger and rub with soft butter. Rub in the ointment every night before bed, and soon enough the pain will stop bothering you.
Compress
- An anesthetic compress is prepared from an infusion of burdock. Chop the dried burdock leaves and add a spoon to two hundred ml of boiled water. After half an hour, drain, soak a compression cloth in the infusion and apply it to the nape of the neck. Cover with a waterproof material and a warm cloth. Lie down for about twenty minutes. After removing the compress, isolate the place of application.
- Prepare an elderberry tincture that can be used for both compressing and rubbing. Lightly crush one hundred and fifty grams of elderberries and fill with a bottle of high-quality vodka. After a week of infusion, strain. Before applying the compress, take fifty ml of tincture, dilute one hundred and fifty ml of clean warm water and, moistening the cloth for the compress, apply it for half an hour, heating it with a woolen bandage on top. If you use the tincture for grinding, you do not need to dilute it with water.
- Leave the herbal compress to act overnight. Take an equal amount of dried dandelion and burdock roots and St. John's wort. Grind and mix the raw materials. Pour a tablespoon of the collection in two hundred ml of hot water and, putting it on the fire, boil for five minutes. When cool, strain. Secure the cloth soaked in the broth to the back of the neck with a warm bandage.
- It is very easy to treat osteochondrosis with horseradish. No need to insist or cook it. Tear off a fresh leaf, immerse it in hot water and immediately fix it to the cervical spine with a warm cloth. Leave it overnight. If you feel a burning sensation, don't be alarmed, it should be so.
- It will help in the treatment of cottage cheese, preferably homemade. Prepare a piece of compressed cloth, spread the curd over it in an even layer, lightly sprinkle with vinegar and put it on the nape, securing it with a warm bandage. Healers recommend keeping the curd compress overnight.
- For a compress, peel a small potato tuber and grate. Add a tablespoon of honey to the porridge, stir. Spread the mixture on the cloth of the compress and fix it on the problem area of the spine for an hour and a half or two.
- Prepare the aloe and squeeze the juice; fifty ml will be needed. Combine fresh aloe juice with 100 to fifty ml of vodka and 100 grams of honey. Spread evenly on a compress and apply to cervical spine for one hour.
- Refined kerosene is an excellent heating agent. They should soak the cloth of the compress, apply on the sore spot, then a waterproof material and a warm bandage. The exposure time of the kerosene compress does not exceed one hour.
Oral
- Make a decoction of sunflower roots. Take the dried roots, grind them, and measure out a full glass. Pour three liters of hot water over the roots, put on the fire and boil for three minutes after boiling. Drink the cooled and strained broth two hundred ml three times a day, after breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. If the time for boiling the roots is increased to five minutes, you will get another effect from taking it - the removal of salts from the body. You will have to cook and drink the broth every day for thirty days. After about twenty days, you will notice that the urine has turned dark in color, this is normal, the process has started. Continue taking until the color of your urine returns to normal.
- A lemon garlic infusion will restore mobility and eliminate pain. Rinse three lemons and chop along with the skin. Peel and mince one hundred and fifty grams of garlic cloves. Transfer everything to a glass jar and fill it with a liter of boiled water. Once the infusion has cooled, it is ready to use. In the morning, immediately after waking up, take 125 ml of infusion, after mixing it.
- A mixture of vegetable juices, honey with the addition of vodka gives an excellent healing effect. Since vodka is a good preservative, the mixture can be prepared for future use and stored in the refrigerator. First, get the juice from the aloe leaves. Measure its volume and mix it with the same amount of black radish juice. Add liquid honey (if it is thick, heat it in a steam bath until it is liquefied) in an amount equal to half the volume of the aloe juice. Mix well and pour in the same amount of vodka. Stir again, pour into a clean glass jar. It is recommended to drink the product in the morning, after waking up, one tablespoon at a time.
- Chop the parsley root. Boil two tablespoons in two glasses of water for an hour. The cooled and strained broth, one tablespoon, should be taken twice a day: in the morning, on an empty stomach, and in the evening, before going to bed.
- Parsley is well suited to the removal of salts from the joints, which is why fifty grams of parsley, nettle leaves, chamomile flowers, hop cones and one hundred grams of burdock taken each were included. Grind the ingredients, pour two glasses of boiled water, close the dishes and let it rest for three days. Pour the strained infusion onto a clean plate and put it in the refrigerator. It should be treated for a week and a half, twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, one tablespoon.
- It is no less effective for osteochondrosis and celery. Take a piece of root about three grams in weight, and after chopping it, transfer it to a liter of boiling water. Insists the night. Strain in the morning. Drink one tablespoon three times a day, before main meals.
- The healers did not despise sesame seeds either, given their medicinal properties due to their rich mineral content. There is no need to prepare or insist. It is gentle to eat a tablespoon of sesame seeds twice a day and it will quickly make up for the lack of calcium and potassium in your body.
- To relieve the pain of osteochondrosis three times a day, pine bud syrup. In spring, when the pine has grown, collect the young buds, rinse them and pat them dry. Next, chop them finely and, after measuring the volume of the kidneys, add double the sugar. Mix well, transfer to a clean glass jar and leave in the refrigerator for fourteen days. After the allotted time, the syrup should turn brown. Take a tablespoon of the syrup in your mouth, but don't swallow it right away, suck it up and then swallow it. It is recommended to treat with pine syrup for three weeks.
- Healers have also embraced birch buds in the fight against osteochondrosis. Put a tablespoon of birch buds in a liter of boiled water, close the dish with a lid and let it cool completely. Strain and drink the infusion throughout the day, dividing it into four equal portions.
- Cranberry leaves contain substances that have anti-inflammatory effects. Three tablespoons of dried crushed cranberry leaves, pour two hundred and fifty ml of boiling water. After about two hours, strain and drink two tablespoons three times a day, regardless of meals.
- Rinse the cinquefoil well together with the root, tear finely and fill a three-liter jar to half the volume. Pour two bottles of good vodka, close the lid and leave it in a dark cupboard for three weeks. Pour the strained tincture into a clean glass container. You need to drink the tincture of sabelnik a quarter of an hour before each meal, a tablespoon, until the tincture is finished.
- Many people have lilac flower tincture at home. If you don't have it, prepare it and always have it handy; this is an excellent remedy for many problems with joint diseases. They drink it before meals, pouring thirty drops into a small amount of water. And it is not difficult to prepare. Pick up a lilac color, rinse and place in a glass jar on top. Pour in enough vodka to completely cover the lilacs. Let infuse for three weeks in a place away from sunlight.
- Madder's medicinal properties are recognized by official medicine. It is part of the recommended pharmacological preparations for many diseases. Osteochondrosis with anger is easy to treat. The dried root should be crushed to a powdery state and eaten one gram three times a day with warm water. You can make a madder infusion by taking a tablespoon of ground roots, adding them to two hundred and fifty ml of hot water. Send it for ten minutes in a steam bath. Take one hundred ml in the morning and at night.
- Buy pine nuts, crush them and place them in a glass jar. Pour in enough vodka so that it is three to three inches above the nuts. Close and leave for seven days in the dark. Shake the walnuts in the vodka every day. Strain the tincture from the raw materials. Treat with tincture, taking a tablespoon in the morning, at noon and at night.
- Of the walnuts, there is another version of the tincture. But they only need shell. Crush two hundred grams of smaller walnut shells and pour two bottles of high-quality vodka into them. Strain after a month. Take two tablespoons of tincture in shells thirty minutes before main meals.
- It is recommended to drink a decoction from the collection of herbs in a glass in the morning and in the evening. It must be cooked every day. Pour fifty grams of crushed willow bark, forty grams of a birch leaf and ten grams of sea buckthorn in half a liter of water. Heat until boiling and cook for ten minutes. After an hour, strain the broth and enjoy the health.
Various
- Salt compress. Add a tablespoon of sea salt to a liter of water, put on fire and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and, if the salt has not dissolved, stir until it dissolves. Wait until it drops to body temperature, dip a small hard towel in the water, squeeze slightly, and rub the sore areas with it. Repeat the rubbing for a week and a half every day.
- Traditional medicine suggests kneading an oatmeal or rye bran mass in hot water to remove inflammation and relieve pain and, spreading it according to the shape and size of the cervical spine, fixing it in the areaproblematic. Keep until cool.
- Squeeze the juice from the horseradish, mix it with the same amount of vodka. Use this mixture to rub your cervical spine every night. Healers claim that this remedy is a very strong pain reliever.
- To relieve the pain of osteochondrosis, fix the magnets on the cervical vertebrae for one hour. Any magnet will do, even the ones taken out of the fridge.
- Like magnets, copper coins or pure copper plates without impurities act on pain. They should be fastened along the entire cervical spine on both sides of the spine and left for up to eight hours. Most conveniently, at night.
- In the old days there were no special massagers for the spine and people, feeling the need to influence the vertebrae, used long round sticks for this. It can carry a shovel handle or something similar. Place the stick on the back of your shoulders and start rolling it up and down your vertebrae at least fifty times. Daily "bar" massage will successfully replace modern massagers.
